Choosing the right journal is an important step in the research process. Many PhD candidates find journal metrics confusing and are unsure how to spot unreliable journals.
This session explains how to choose journals in a responsible way and how to avoid common publishing risks.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Understand common journal indicators
Recognize predatory or unreliable journals
Compare journals based on their focus and quality
Decide if a journal is suitable for their research
Apply ethical principles when selecting a journal
